SHAMROC LADIES RACE 4 LIFE
As told by Management
"Go Girls!" That's the message from the Shamroc Cafe members who support our ladies Race for Life at events around the country.
At Heaton Park Manchester, Lilli and friend Jill joined up with Sarah B and daughters Gina and Sammy for a 5k run on a glorious, bright sunny day. There to support them was Sarahs son Alex, Riche, Kenred and myself. The park was packed and the guys had no problem watching thousands of women run up and down this hilly course. Though we were a bit dissapointed at the lack of a beer tent. All the ladies ran well, we know that cos they were knackered at the end, except for Gina and Sammy who made it look like a walk in the park without a drop of sweat on them. Their performance must make Sarah proud as thet breezed it.
I ran along side Lilli foe the final 500 meters to make sure she didn't stop. When she'd finished she did the same for Sammy and the girl on the Tannoy commented " I'm sure that Shamroc lady has already been round once."
It was a great morning, and in true Shamroc Cafe spirit, it was time to find a beer find a pub to celebrate.
Di completed the line up in Watford and altogtherr the girls raised nearly £1500 for Cancer Research. Well done ladies.
